There’s a number of different ways to customise our conversion kits to make it your own.
Here’s a few of our favourite tried and tested ideas to enhance the utility of your conversion.
ShadowFoam is an excellent way to organise and protect your tools, camera gear, camping equipment and much more – making it a great addition to our top drawer storage area. It combines the ease of use of a pick ‘n’ pluck foam, with the strength and quality of an expensive custom CNC foam liner.
It’s unique structure enables you to easily trace and cut around items before peeling away the layers until you arrive at the desired depth. We went for 70mm thick foam, cut to 1,133mm x 587mm.

The Outback Explorer Conversion Kit is designed to be compatible with the Thetford Topline 165 Long Side Dual Burner Hob. It’s a recessed two-burner hob with a glass cover that provides your campervan with a sleek, contemporary look.

We designed our bottom drawer specifically around these boxes. Measuring 77cmL x 37cmW x 33cmH, you’ll be amazed at the organisational capacity these crates provide.
Each storage box has a volume of 80 litres and has been manufactured using high quality, high wear polymers. The bottom drawer can hold for 3 boxes side by side, with plenty of full width storage available in front or behind them.

Due to the open access of our side storage compartments, the underside of the top shelf makes for a fantastic place to mount ambient strip or spot lighting. If you want to power the lighting from your leisure battery, then please refer to our ‘Pre-Installation Information’ in the resources section for switch and socket placement.
However, remote control rechargeable stick-on/magnetic lighting is a great alternative and offers super simple installation.
